David and Karen met us at a trade show; they both liked our display of heritage magnets so much that they placed an order there and then. Since our initial meeting we have designed many different products for the shops David owns in Salisbury, Bath and Oxford. They started with a few of our fairy doors and as these proved popular it led onto a whole range of heritage products. A good example is the most iconic view of Salisbury Cathedral. We have designed this as a large magnet; it captures the essence of the building and provides the customer with a long lasting memory of the cathedral and the day they spent there. Recently we added Bath Abbey and a couple of magnets designed to depict the Rising Angel from the Abbey and the Butter Cross in Salisbury to the range.
David contacted us on a Sunday just before a Bank Holiday with an idea! There was a Sculpture trail running in Salisbury to commemorate the Magna Carta and he thought it would be good to see if we could produce our own version of the ‘Barons’ which he thought would sell well in his shop.
We contacted the company who ran the trail and obtained a licence to produce a few hundred wooden Baron figures.
From this we made prototypes and then once we got a sign off, we manufactured the batch.
From initial idea to the ‘Barons’ on the shelf took around one week!
To quote Karen the Shop Manager:-
‘From idea to items selling in the shop was less than seven days!! This has never been achieved before’.
